Rohingya MMR Vaccination Program

On the 24th of April 2017, Global Peace Mission Malaysia, Pahang participated in helping out with the MMR vaccination program for the Rohingya age 9 months to 17 years in Kuantan. The program was under UNHCR. Those that involved were mainly students from Rohingya Education Centre which is under Future Global Islamic Network (FGIN) and their family. The program took place at 2 venues; Balok and Permatang Badak. About 51 volunteers were involved. Volunteers were from many fields including doctors, staff nurses, from medical care assistants, medical students, and students from various faculties. In the program, the participants were screened for their health general health status. Vital signs taken include the blood pressure, pulse rate, and body temperature. Introduction to Global Peace Mission Pahang

Welcome to Global Peace Mission ( GPM ) Pahang . Global Peace Mission (GPM), Malaysia is a non-government organization (NGO) formed in 2001 that provides relief missions in response to humanitarian crisis. However, the group had been active for more than 2 decades under various banners. GPM had provided emergency assistance to various countries besides its homeland, Malaysia. Among the countries that GPM had given a hand was Afghanistan, Philippines, Laos, Cambodia, Indonesia, Syria, Pakistan, Burma, Palestine, Sri Lanka, Bosnia, Albania, Lebanon, Somalia, and Iraq. The formation of Global Peace Mission Pahang (GPM Pahang) was initiated in 2016 with the appointment of GPM Pahang State Director. Its maiden project was in December 2016 in helping out with the mini-census of Rohingya community in Kuantan District.
